Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland Augmented Reality
This is some test footage from an early version of an augmented reality piece developed for Disney to coincide with the dvd release of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland.
The idea behind this piece was that when you showed your dvd to the webcam you’d see the scroll from the film that would show the story of the movie literally unfolding before you.
This piece was eventually changed to another approach, but as a demo it is still pretty neat.
I did the programming fort his piece while working for Total Immersion in Los Angeles.
This is the final augmented reality piece for the dvd release of Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. Disney held a contest for the best dancers of their own version of the “futterwacken” dance.
The winners had their videos integrated into the augmented reality experience.
This is the 1stset of winners.
This is the 2nd set of winners.
